1988 Seoul
The Freddy Mercury Karaoke Contest
I don’t have cable.
I do have rabbit ear antennae that pick up CCTV from a nearby parking garage when the wind’s blowin’ up a gale. Needless to say, I can’t watch the Olympics at home. What I can do (and did) is make funny happenstance with the history of Olympic Pictograms.
The following are all real depictions of particular sporting events (from the denoted year/city), Â some of which I have no clue what they’re representing. So, I do what I did in college; make shit up.
1980 Moscow
The Hilarious Sport of ‘Falling on Pavement’. AÂ slight alteration –
  – turns to ‘Singing in the Rain’
The riveting sport of ‘Kneeling…Staring’
My personal favorite, “Foreplay!”
1964 Tokyo
The Sport of “I’m not Angry with you, just disappointed”
The Best Portrayal of Luke hanging from the antenna at the end of ‘Empire Strikes Back’
2012 London
Synchronized swimming (I actually got this one)
A little rotation and….
Synchronized Pole Dancing!
Okay, another swimming one – a little rotation…
…and, we get a creeper with a fake arm – or John Wilkes Boothe.
2000 Sydney
?
Hammer Time!
1984 Los Angeles
Chick-fil-a Sponsored Event
1976 Montreal
A Comique
Future Olympics
In the near future, Chess will be an olympic sporting event. Until then, it’s a game of ‘I’m seeing someone else”.

all pictograms are from the amazing Olympic Museum Website (http://olympic-museum.de/pictograms/Picto1988.htm)

I would be less upset about baseball and softball getting the Olympic boot if “Singing in the Rain” would have replaced them.

Mike, why don’t you take these and do a Gallagher-like stand-up thing (maybe not Gallagher) but that weird red-haired guy comedian on steroids now — what’s his name? I actually met the guy once and I can’t remember his name. Anyway, he’s not always funny but you are and you could take these signs and pull them out of a chest or something. With your other freaking hilarious stuff. I’m serious.
I went without cable for years and had rabbit ears and was blissfully happy about it. I live somewhere now where I can’t pick up channels with cable. Wish I could go back. Trust me, you’re not missing anything.
And I’m tired of the Olympics already too. (Synchronized pole dancing — brilliant)
This was great — better than the Olympics — thank you.

That’s not a bad idea, Brigitte…
I might have to look in this. THough, i will be better than that one guy with orangish red hair who looks like a Satan Clown on roids.
Netflix is a heaven sent, and I can find anything I want to watch on the interwebs.

1964 Tokyo killed me. I laughed hard enough to get a stern look from my dog. I don’t think she was angry though, just disapponted.
