*’Losing Emma’ is in the Top 10 for Columbus’ – ‘Best of’ screens Tuesday, August 28th at Arena Grand.Â
Traveling for work this week, and I promised you all a viewing of the short film I helped co-write but first, here’s a quick breakdown:
The 48 Hour Film Festival is a worldwide project bringing budding film makers together to make a short (~7minute) film. You (and your team) go in on Friday, pick your genre, and you’re handed three components that MUST be in the film. This year the components were: ‘Emma or Edward Bulmer (tourists)’, a Pizza Box, and the line “I have good news, and bad news”.
Then, it’s a mad rush for 48 hours to write, shoot, edit, score, titled, and credit your film. This is a great opportunity for any bloggers, writers, or anyone who just wants to get the feel for a film set. It’s exciting, and pretty brutal, and sometimes, you get thrown in a dumpster…
Okay, no more stalling. It’s PG-13, and there is SLIGHT nudity, but in a very funny way for those watching at work. – Mike
Congratulations! What a fun project to be a part of. Loved the film!

I’ve been on set before, actually worked in the biz for a while in NYC, but I chalk it up to a great, professional crew. Awesome group
